The Manuk Bey Palace was built in 1891 by the famous architect Bernardazzi, commissioned by Manuk Bey Mirzoyan, an Armenian by origin, a Turkish diplomat and a Russian intelligence officer.
Who never got to live in the luxury of the palace, as he died in 1817.
