Chateau Cojusna is a Moldovan wine classic with a rich history.

CHÂTEAU COJUSNA is one of the largest producers and exporters of wines and divines in the Republic of Moldova. Founded in 1995 , the holding quickly gained recognition in the domestic and international markets thanks to the high quality of its products and adherence to Moldovan winemaking traditions.

Today the company unites two subsidiary lines :

  • JSC "MIGDAL P" , specializing in the production of still wines;

  • LLC "VOITIS DISTILLERY" , whose main activity is the production and export of wine distillates, divins and other strong drinks .

This structure allows the company to fully control all stages of production, from grape cultivation to aging and packaging, ensuring consistently high product quality.

Vineyards and terroir

Château Cojusna is located in central Moldova , in the renowned Codrii region , just 15 km from the capital, Chisinau . This region boasts unique climate conditions: mild winters, warm summers, forests that protect the vineyards from strong winds, and fertile soils.

The company's vineyards cover over 240 hectares , growing both European and Moldovan grape varieties . Particular attention is paid to traditional Moldovan varieties, such as:

  • Feteasca Nyagra ;

  • Feteasca Alba ;

  • Rara Nyagra ;
    as well as popular international varieties:

  • Cabernet Sauvignon ;

  • Merlot ;

  • Syrah .

Vine care is carried out according to strict standards, with minimal use of chemicals, to preserve the purity of the grapes' flavor and aroma . This approach produces wines with a rich bouquet, harmonious balance, and a unique character.

Production capacity

Chateau Cojusna is equipped with modern winemaking complexes that provide a full production cycle:

  • sorting and processing of grapes;

  • fermentation;

  • excerpt;

  • bottling and packaging.

Particular attention is paid to the aging of wines and divins :

  • still wines are aged from 3 to 10 years ;

  • Collectible divins and wine distillates, such as Grappa , undergo long and meticulous aging, making them unique and valuable on the world market.

The company exports its products to 25 countries and has approximately 50 regular importers , confirming its high international reputation.

History and Traditions

The history of the Cojusna winery spans over a century: back in 1908 , a winery was established here, producing wines exclusively using French techniques . Workshops for grafting and cultivating French grapevines operated on the premises , laying the foundation for the future development of Moldovan winemaking.

The modern Château Cojusna continues these traditions, combining classical production methods with modern technology, allowing it to produce high-quality wines and divins.
