Casa din Lunca is the first rural guesthouse, established in May 2002 on the farm of the Benzin family in the village of Trebujeni, Orhei County, 47 km from Chisinau and 18 km from Orhei. Situated on the banks of the Răut River, the village is surrounded by a stunning natural park and is located in the republic's most historic zone, in close proximity to the Trebujeni Nature Reserve, which includes the open-air museum complex Orheiul Vechi.
You'll be able to sample a true Moldovan village menu: mamaliga, placinte, and homemade wine. When you sit down like this after fishing, grab a piece of mamaliga, dip it in grated feta cheese, fresh homemade sour cream, or fried pieces of meat, eat it, and wash it down with a glass of wine fresh from the barrel in the cellar—it seems there's nothing more delicious. This vacation option is perfect for busy people, as it lasts a single day—arrive in the morning and leave in the evening.
You'll have the opportunity to discover the national characteristics of our people, from culinary arts to songs, dances, and ancient national customs. Here you'll be able to admire the art of local artisans. While horseback riding, you'll have the opportunity to admire the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.
