The boarding house "La gura Cuptorului" is located in a special place, where traditions are beautifully intertwined with modernity, and customs are preserved with holiness.

The boarding house is located in the village of Valeni, in a picturesque place charged with the positive energy of hospitable hosts, at a distance of 25 km from the city of Cahul, along the international highway Cahul-Galati (Romania), and at a distance of 200 km from the city of Chisinau.

In the village of Valeni in the Cahul district, you can learn about the traditions associated with traditional baking and serving of national bread, sample Moldovan cuisine, or simply enjoy the beautiful views. You can even try your hand at being a homemaker and bake some placintas or bread.

The "La Gura Cuptorului" boarding house was opened by owner Vera Kaminschi in 2011. She welcomes all guests with bread and salt—bread baked according to all the traditions honored by our ancestors.

You can also stay overnight at the boarding house. The rooms are also traditionally decorated, including Moldovan carpets. As for the food, you definitely won't leave hungry. The prices are quite reasonable.

But the most interesting thing here is the bread museum. The owner personally curated the exhibits. There are more than 12 types of wedding kalachi and another 8 used in various rituals and holidays. Each kalachi has its own name and purpose. The museum also displays household items that were once used in villages, including tivdas and spinning machines, baskets and carpets. Each item is described in detail.

At the Bread Museum, you can take part in theatrical performances. For example, you can stage an impromptu wedding in the old style or try your hand at a puppet show.

Not far from the location is Lake Beleu, where you can admire blooming water lilies and local pelicans.
