Rock Monastery of the Annunciation
Not far from the main monastery is the Annunciation Rock Monastery , one of the oldest and most beautiful monasteries in Moldova. It was founded in 1777 by monk Bartholomew Krivoruchka on the site of an older hermitage that had been built in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The monastery is located in a narrow, deep ravine on the bank of a mountain stream flowing into the Dniester. The architectural design here is particularly impressive given the challenging terrain: the buildings fit harmoniously into the rocky ledges, creating a unique blend of nature and architecture. The only relics of the Holy Martyr Macarius in Moldova are kept here.

Inside the monastery
On the Grimidon hill (100 m) in the immediate vicinity of the monastery, there is a place protected by a small chapel, in which is located the imprint of the footprint of the Mother of God, (Reconstructed in 1993)

The monastery grounds are always very clean; the monks keep it neat. There are lots of flowers.
